Downtown Memphis Commission Staff
The staff of the Downtown Memphis Commission works to implement goals, objectives and tactics to make Downtown Memphis a great place to live, work, learn, play and invest. The DMC is comprised of four departments - executive, marketing, operations and development - that report to the Downtown Memphis Commission Board of Directors.

Downtown Planning & Development The Planning & Development Department plans and facilitates the redevelopment & economic growth of Downtown Memphis. This department conducts neighborhood revitalization planning and administers financial incentives to improve our built environment, actively recruits new businesses, facilitates development, provides design review, and supports development projects though site identification and land acquisition. |

Downtown Marketing and Events The Marketing Department is responsible for promoting downtown, bringing vibrancy to downtown with events and animation, and assisting with recruitment and retention of Downtown businesses. Functions include market research, advertising, public relations, special events, and production of internal and external communication materials. The department also includes the information services division, including networking and Internet services and in-house software applications. |

Downtown Operations The Operations Department is responsible for making Downtown Memphis a more pleasant place to live, work, and visit by enhancing the cleanliness, attractiveness, friendliness, and sense of security. It includes the Blue Suede Brigade (our on-the-street ambassadors of good will), administers the Clean and Safe Program, manages the Main Street Mall (include vendor permits) and DMC/CCDC-owned property, coordinates certain Downtown public improvements, and maintains operation of the Downtown Parking Authority (DPA), among other things. |

Finance and Administration The Finance and Administrative Department is responsible for general administration of financial policies and budgets. It works in conjunction with the City of Memphis and the Shelby County Assessor to administer the CBID assessment. The department also handles administration of the DMC offices and personnel management. |
